This three-part catalog series is published on the occasion of the exhibition series (Re)Housing the American Dream by Chicago-based performance and video artist Kirsten Leenaars. Commissioned by the Haggerty Museum of Art, this latest work is the result of Leenaars’ multi-year exploration of the relationship between home and happiness in Milwaukee’s Near West Side. Conversations centered around the current state of affairs feature strongly each installment, reconvening student participants in Milwaukee during the summers from 2016–2018.
